The smallest of Andalucia´s eight provinces is known as "the gateway to the Costa del Sol" due to the proximity of the city´s airport. It includes the provincial capital that is the second largest city in Andalucia and possibly one of the most vibrant, atmospheric and historic in Spain, with its centre with wide leafy boulevards, endearingly dilapidated streets and buildings, museums and monuments all set against the backdrop of the sparkling blue Mediterranean.
